It can be a real challenge to create balance and feel grounded in our lives when unexpected life circumstances arise and at times become so intense we are shaken to our core. We can be left feeling disconnected and powerless in the unfolding of the future and face of the unknown. It is my goal to create rituals in my daily routine that keep me anchored, calm, open, happy and emotionally equipped to deal with the unknown fluctuations of life. So I have come up with a plan to encourage self-transformation and support my desires.
When looking to create new habits and rituals you will hear figures for transformation ranging from 21-66 days. I have decided to practice what I preach in my classes by putting myself on a 90-day challenge, just to make sure my new habits and rituals really stick.
This is a personal challenge that I would like to invite you to join as well. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, please feel free to share your training tips and motivational quotes that keep you going.
How I will approach my challenge:
1.
Each day I will post a tip on how to be more conscious- this will be the focus
and homework of that day.
2.
Each day I will pick a physical practice that I must complete for at least
30minutes minimum. This can be anything physical: yoga, spinning, walking in
the park, weight training, swimming, martial arts, dance ect. My plan is to do
something different everyday and in as many places as possible.
3. I will also pick out a quote for the day that will be used as my daily mantra and point of focus.
Ex. "All
wrong-doing arises because of mind. If mind is transformed can wrong-doing
remain?" Buddha
This is the core of personal development. It points towards the need to train and develop the mind and to free it from limits and negativity.
4.
I will post daily photos of the training I choose and or the workout it self.
There’s no better time to start than now so
here goes…
Day-1 Sunday-July 22, 2012

1. Consciousness Tip Of The Day- Treat yourself with respect - Having respect for yourself and your actions will ultimately boost the amount of love that you express towards yourself and others. Make wise, respectful decisions that reflect your values and have strong respect for your personal beliefs. Treating others with respect will help you become a more conscious human being too, but before you can respect others properly, you must first learn to show the utmost respect towards yourself.

mental distractions, the gates of the soul open." By B.S.K Iyengar
