Absolute Sanctuary Spa
Koh Phangan
am traveling to Koh Samui and tomorrow to Phuket. From there I will go
to Malaysia to renew my visa. I will continue to travel through
Thailand until March. I've been taking many courses in advanced Thai
massage, Tantra and yoga. In March I'm off to Kerela, India. At the
end of March I will go to Bali for the Bali Spirit Festival. I've been
missing teaching my fitness & yoga classes. I will have tons of new
energy to teach in the summer. I will post my favorite travel spots
shortly.

Journey To Pai
I have been quite sick for the last three days. I pretty much stayed in my
guest house or slept out in the garden. I think the Abdominal Detox Massage I had last Saturday, might have been a bit too deep for me. I know it wasn't the food, the food has been great!
On Tuesday morning at 9:30am I managed to pull myself together enough to get myself on a van to Pai.
Pai is a small town, up in the mountains, north of Chiang Mai. I took the meds I had picked up at the travel clinic before I left Vancouver, and some strong Gravol, and slept in the back of a van packed with 14 other people. I had no idea where I was going to stay once I got there. I just knew that Pai was going to be an amazing place.
On the bus, I met a German couple, Ben and Kyra, who were also traveling to Pai. I was excited to see that they had a "Lonely Planet Guide', even though it was written in German. I really should get one of my own.

I asked them if I could tag along with them to find a guest house. In the guide, they found a great place down by the river, just walking distance from the bus station, called Baan Tawan Pai. You can check it out at www.pai-baantawan.com We looked at a deluxe room that would fit all three of us, and decided to share it. Our room cost us $3000 baht (split three ways) for 2 nights. That's $100 Canadian. It was well worth it. It had a beautiful view of the river, a hot shower and a balcony.
My new friends had arranged to meet another friend Ramsee (a beat box musician from Spain),visit a hotspring at a nearby spa. They invited me to come along. Ramsee showed up shortly thereafter, on a scooter, with a beautiful girl from the Netherlands. Since there were 5 of us, and only two scooters, the 3 of us, Ben, Kyra and myself, climbed onto the second scooter, and we all rode off to the hot springs.
